Limited Two Year Warranty
Paiste warrants that if your Paiste musical instrument proves to our satisfaction to be defective in material or workmanship, we will provide, without charge, the parts and labor necessary to remedy any such defect (or at Paiste’s option, replace the instrument), for a period of two (2) years commencing on the date of original retail purchase by the original consumer. In the event Paiste elects to replace the instrument, Paiste will warrant such replacement instrument only for the remainder of the two (2) year period of the warranty for the originally purchased instrument. This new two (2) year limited warranty is in effect for products purchased from January 1, 2011.
THIS WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES. THE DURATION OF ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR OTHERWISE, ON THIS MUSICAL INSTRUMENT SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THE EXPRESS WARRANTY SET FORTH ABOVE. EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN THIS WARRANTY, PAISTE AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS, INCONVENIENCE OR DAMAGE WHETHER DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR OTHERWISE RESULTING FROM BREACH OF ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR OTHERWISE, WITH RESPECT TO THE MUSICAL INSTRUMENT.
This warranty shall not be applicable to the extent that any provision of this warranty is prohibited by any federal, state, or municipal law which cannot be preempted. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary in specific jurisdictions.
To obtain service under this warranty, you must present or send your Paiste musical instrument, together with the retail seller’s original bill of sale, your charge or credit receipt, or other satisfactory proof of the date of the original retail purchase of the product, and which details the specific product purchased, to your retailer, the distributor in your country or Paiste directly.
Any postage, insurance and shipping costs incurred in presenting or sending your Paiste musical instrument for service are your responsibility. Enclose with the Paiste product, your name, address, telephone number, email and a description of the problem.

Warranty Process
If you believe your cymbal has a material or workmanship defect, and you have purchased it within the last two years please follow these instructions.
In the United States
Please call us at one of the numbers listed below and we will issue you a Return Authorization Number (RA Number). Indicate the location of the defect (tape, marker). Make a photocopy of your original dated sales receipt showing the item you are presenting for warranty service. Write the RA Number prominently on the outside of the carefully packed box and enclose the photocopy of your sales receipt. If the cymbal is damaged in transit due to poor packing we will not be able to properly evaluate your instrument and the warranty will be voided.

Additional Information
If PAISTE’s specialists determine through inspection that the instrument does not show indications of abuse or neglect and the defect is a result of a manufacturing or material discrepancy, PAISTE’s Limited Warranty Policy will apply and we will repair or replace the instrument.
The customer is responsible for the shipping costs of the defective cymbal to PAISTE or to the offical PAISTE distributor.
Defective cymbals that are not covered by PAISTE’s Limited Warranty Policy will be returned to the customer. The shipping costs for a replacement or defective cymbal back to the customer will be covered by PAISTE.
Please review the following list of items (focus on cymbals) that can result in a denial of warranty service.
-
No Sales Receipt
A copy of the original dated sales receipt must be submitted.
-
Expiry of Warranty Claim
The date of purchase must be within two years of the warranty request.
-
Dents / Dings / Nicks
Dents, dings and nicks, particularly on the edge of the cymbal, can be signs of overplaying, improper stick selection, or mishandling of the cymbal.
-
Bell Hole / Bell Breaks
The center hole is distorted, (key-hole effect), or has spider cracks, which indicates improper mounting or over-tightening of the mounting.
-
Bell Dents
This can be caused by overplaying and/or improper sticks selection.
-
Circular Cuts Inside bell
The area inside the bell is etched or cut in a circular pattern corresponding to the mounting point, indicating improper mounting and direct metal to metal contact.
-
Pieces Missing / Mechanical Alterations
Continuing to play the cymbal after it cracks, causing portions to break off, prevents us from determining the cause of the crack and thereby voids your warranty. The same applies for holes drilled into the cymbal or other unauthorized repairs.
