Biography
Trent Fancher is a seasoned drummer with over 30 years of experience that spans stages and studios in Nashville, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas. Early in his career, he hit the road with two-time Grammy nominee Wayne Brady, bringing laughter and musical improv to audiences worldwide, alongside multiple appearances on popular television talk shows like The View. Wayne later took his variety show to Las Vegas, resulting in a highly successful three-and-a-half-year residency at The Venetian. During his time in Vegas, Trent performed an impressive seven nights a week at Planet Hollywood, playing to packed houses. Currently, Trent owns Time Foundry Studios in Birmingham, AL, where he records drums for various artists across the country, as well as producing full projects for singers and songwriters alike. You can find Trent on social media channels educating drummers of all ages and styles through his unique brand "Better Sounding Drummer" - a distinctive approach that focuses on helping players not just play better, but sound better. Trent has been Wayne’s drummer for the last eight years. He has toured all over America, Canada, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. During this time, he has made many television appearances with Wayne including “The View”, “The Sharon Osbourne Show” and “The Wayne Brady Show.” He has appeared several times on Canada’s televised comedy festival “Just For Laughs” as well as HBO’s “Comic Relief: 2006.” Recordings with Trent have been featured in ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy” and Academy Award nominee film “Lars and the Real Girl.” Trent’s education includes high school at the nationally acclaimed Alabama School of Fine Arts where he studied classical percussion and music theory. He has performed with the Alabama Symphony Orchestra and was a member of the Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra. College took him to Nashville where he attended Belmont University and studied commercial music and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Music with a Performance Emphasis. In addition to performing, Trent and his wife, Jennifer, own and operate a home studio and record children’s music that is distributed in elementary schools throughout the country. Trent also proudly endorses Pearl drums and Pro-Mark drumsticks.
