Biography
Sunnie Snares is a prolific and outstanding Drummer who has been credited with revolutionizing the face and voice of gospel drumming and Music in Nigeria and Africa as a whole. His parents and siblings realized at a young age that Sunnie Snares had a strong love for music and they all worked very hard to invest as much as they could into Sunnie’s promising future. At a very young age, Sunnie Snares was exposed to Professional Gospel music by his parents and this gave him the opportunity of learning from some of Gospel music most prolific songwriters, artists and Musicians. From a very young age, Sunnie started recording with Various Artists around his home country and his contact with the father of Gospel music in Nigeria and Africa, the Legendary Dr Panam Percy Paul charted a new course in his music journey, and while on tour with this great Legend, Sunnie Snares was opened up too many other professional opportunities, artists and musicians and upon completion of this tour Sunnie snares decided to be a Recording drummer. He also began finding his voice as an arranger and producer with over 1000 Live and studio recorded, released and hit songs to his credits. In addition, Sunnie Snares has also merged his recording abilities with his commitment in his home church which happens to be one of the fastest growing and upwardly mobile churches in Africa (The commonwealth of Zion Assembly) popularly called (COZA)with the mandate to reach the unchurched and to establish the Kingdom of God here on earth. Sunnie snares serves as the official drummer, arranger, Music consultant of the Church which also has a Tv station that reaches over 100 countries of the world, and on this platform and many others, Sunnie snares has recorded and shared stage with A list gospel artists, Musicians and producers from Africa and all over the world, such as Dunsin Oyekan, Moses Bliss, Steve crown, Elijah oyelade, Evans ighodalo, Don Moen, Tasha cobbs, Tye-Tribette, Dr Tim Godfrey, Chi-Gospel(Boston), Jonathan Nelson(U.S.A), JJ hairston, Bishop TD Jakes, Dr Benny Hinn, Creflor Dollar, Varshawn Mitchell, Mercy chinwo, Judi-kay, Eben, Martha Munizzi and many others. Though quite accomplished Sunnie Snares continues to push himself in all areas while making sure to sow into the next generation. Sunnie Snares is known for his high level of musicianship who is versatile in all genres with special Mastery in the African Sounds. His style of play ranges from a very detailed and articulate to a very energetic level.
