Biography
Steve DiStanislao also known as "Stevie D" is an independent professional drummer, vocalist and producer. Many top name artists in the music industry have called on Stevie for his drumming, vocal and producing talents. He has recorded and toured extensively with legendary artists such as David Gilmour, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Don Felder, Kenny Loggins, Joe Walsh, Chris Robinson, Loggins & Messina, CPR, Paul Anka and SolarFlare to name a few. Stevie has recently been featured in Rolling Stone Magazine and in drum publications Modern Drummer, Drum Head, Italian drum magazine DrumClub, and french drum publication Batterie. He played drums and sang on the David Gilmour concert films Remember That Night, Live at the Royal Albert Hall featuring David Bowie and Crosby/Nash, Live in Gdansk with the Baltic Philharmonic and the one-of-a-kind performance Live In Pompeii recorded and filmed in the historic Amphitheater of Pompeii in Italy. Other notable works include David Gilmour ‘Rattle that Lock’ and ‘Luck And Strange’ albums as well as several recordings with David Crosby. Stevie can also be seen in concert films with Loggins and Messina, AXS TV with Don Felder featuring Tommy Shaw of Styx and live concert films with Crosby & Nash and Crosby, Stills & Nash. Writer, Producer, Band leader, Inventor As band leader, Stevie created SolarFlare, a jazz quintet featuring some of his favorite musicians & friends. He writes, produces and records with the band in addition to producing and recording various projects in his Sun Sonic Studios. In addition to his musical experiences Stevie D co-designed the Axis Pro Hi-Hat Clutch and solely designed and manufactured The Stick Hammock™ portable drum & percussion tray.

Woody, silvery, spanky ping over crunchy, thriving wash. Extremely versatile, flexible ride for wide ranging application in modern blended music styles. Mark I: Tends to be a bit quieter, darker and drier. This manifests itself in the overall sound character and in particular in the bell and ping sound.
