Biography
Sergey Prokofiev is a drummer with over 20 years of experience in music performing. Sergey was born in Moscow, Russia in 1976. His professional career began in 1998 with the Tarakany! (Cockroaches!) band, the most well known and longest running punk-rock bands in Russia. Since then he has amassed a remarkable body of work including recorded 27 albums and EPs, among them the landmark album, named MaximumHappy, which included 2 CDs. MaximumHappy was truly a breakthrough for the Russian punk rock scene. With this album the band again came up to the top places of radio charts. Since 1999 Sergey with Tarakany band actively goes on tour across Russia, Europe and Japan. Among the significant tours can be named: Joint tour with ZSK band (German, Berlin) – German, Russia, 2019, Joint tour with Marky Ramone (Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee) – Europe, 2005, Joint tour with Sobut (Japan, Tokyo) and Scream Of The Presidents (Japan, Tokyo) - Japan, Russia, 2002. Tarakany! The same time the band headlines most of the biggest festivals such as Dobrofest, Nashestvie, Uletay fest, Kubana (2009 - 2015), Russia. As well, Tarakany! band has shared the stage with legendary bands at the international festivals including Rock’n’Roll Butterfahrt (Germany, Helgoland) – 2019, Mighty Sounds (Czech Republic, Tabor) – 2019, Atlas festival (Ukraine, Kiev) – 2019, etc. From 2000 till now Sergey is the permanent member of The Adventures of Electronics, popular Russian punk rock supergroup. The band has since released 6 full-length studios albums as well as a self-released EPs. Sergey joined the Paiste family the May of 2010.

Developed in co-operation with the legendary "The Police" drummer Stewart Copeland.

Woody, silvery, spanky ping over crunchy, thriving wash. Extremely versatile, flexible ride for wide ranging application in modern blended music styles. Mark II: Tends to be a bit livelier and brighter. This manifests itself in the overall sound character and in particular in the bell and ping sound. Mark II also has a bit more volume potential due to its more open character.
