Biography
Sam Checkoway is a professional drummer with over 15 years of experience in both live performance and studio work. Sam has been playing drum set and percussion since age 10; he started out taking private lessons in addition to playing in jazz band and wind ensemble throughout his early education. Following high school, Sam was accepted to Berklee College of Music and also studied Audio Production at Bay State College. He has toured across the U.S.A. and Canada playing with artists such as Born Without Bones, Super American, Sleeping Patterns, oldsoul, & Swan Princess Project. Located in central Massachusetts, Sam is also a drum instructor teaching private lessons at School of Rock in Norwood as well as at his home studio.
