Biography

Robert Garven is the original drummer and cofounder of "Cirith Ungol" a heavy metal band hailing from Ventura, California. Starting in 1971 the band had 4 groundbreaking albums, "Frost & Fire" (1981), "King of the Dead" (1984), "One Foot in Hell" (1986), and "Paradise Lost" (1991), before their breakup in 1991. The band reformed by popular demand in 2016 releasing a single for the upcoming animated movie "The Planet of Doom", "Witch's Game" 2018, a live album, "I'm Alive" (2019), and their 5th studio album “Forever Black” in 2020. The band is considered heavy metal trailblazers, known for their unique style and heavy sound. Robert’s unconventional drumming is based on the first primitive beats laid down by man.
