About
„Using Paiste cymbals has changed the way I play permanently. Every cymbal I’ve ever hit sings, and with Paiste the musical possibilities are endless. The most versatile and beautiful cymbals I’ve ever played and I’ve always been a fan. I remember hiding a pair of 2002 Heavy hats in a back cupboard at school so that they wouldn’t get damaged. I treasured them. To be playing Paiste now as a professional is a privilege.“

Biography
Rich Gartland has been nurturing his obsession with drums since before he could remember. From biscuit tins and pots and pans to sneaking into the drum practice rooms after school, he always found a way to practice. Rich studied Popular Music at Leeds College of Music conservatoire before going on to graduate from Huddersfield University studying Music Technology & Popular Music absorbing as many different music styles as possible along the way. Pit bands, to Marching Bands, Experimental Electronic Music to Jazz. His passion lies in Rock and Neo Funk/Soul, but his dedication to the art of drumming is much larger and is always looking at new ways to improve and develop. His current musical venture is with Rock/Soul four piece Bang Bang Romeo, which has seen him perform tours all around the UK/Europe as well as support slots for Sting at the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival, and a full UK/Europe Stadium support tour with P!NK including two nights at Wembley Stadium. His love of drumming and development is what he prides beyond anything else, live music is his passion. He’s a drummer that thrives from being in a band, from making people dance and there’ll be plenty of time for that in tours/festivals booked for 2021.
