Biography

Remy Morritt is a session/touring drummer and songwriter based in Los Angeles. Born and raised in Seattle, Washington, he started drumming at age 8 while steeping in the brooding musical history of the Pacific Northwest. In his early career, he honed his skills as a jazz and free improvisational player, before focusing on deepening his feel for more contemporary contexts. Upon moving to LA, Remy’s expressive and dynamic sound on the drums has made him a force in the indie rock and singer-songwriter scene, with many listeners praising the sensitive-yet-explosive nature of his playing style. Remy has had the pleasure of collaborating with artists such as Lizzy McAlpine, Christian Lee Hutson, Phoebe Bridgers, Fenne Lily, Jay Som, Maya Hawke, Harrison Whitford, David Binney, Ben Monder, Merrick Winter, Gregg Belisle-Chi, and many others.
