Biography
Rai Torres, studio musician, producer and musical director. Although New York is his birthplace, Puerto Rico has been where Rai Torres has polished his instinctive talent and skill for more than 20 years, naturally becoming one of Puerto Rico’s most accomplished and sought-after musicians. The number of artists that Rai has recorded and performed live with are inestimable; nevertheless, mentioning some will enlighten you to his remarkable career and opportunities that he has had at every level over the past few years. He has been honored to record with Gilberto Santa Rosa (Sony BMG); Victor Manuelle (Sony BMG), Wilkins (Masa Records), salsa music singer, Domingo Quiñones, as well as with Grammy nominee, Chayanne (Sony BMG). For many years, he has had the privilege to record for several renowned Latin Christian artists and internationally known. Among them, Latin Grammy Nominee: Marcos Vidal with whom Rai had the opportunity to participate as musical producer on his album, “Sigo esperándote”. Rai Torres has recorded and/or performed with major label artists such as Latin Grammy winner, Luis Fonsi (Universal), with whom he performed at Viña del Mar, Chile’s world-renowned and prestigious song festival. Although recording and performing in various studios and multiple stages is Rai’s daily activity, touring is also part of his career. Rai has traveled with acts such as El Reencuentro.
