Biography

Pete Perignon energy, passion and talent have made him a prominent figure in contemporary Latin percussion. Born in Carolina, Puerto Rico to a family with a deep musical heritage, Pete has been able to forge his own path in the industry, merging tradition with an innovative vision of rhythm. Music and percussion have been Pete's life. His interest in music was born naturally and accompanies him for as long as he can remember. From his first class at the age of 8 years, he felt a special connection with percussion, and at 11 years, after his first experience with an orchestra, he knew that making music was his true purpose. With a musical career of more than 20 years that has led him to share the stage with some of the most influential artists of the Salsa genre. Since 2013 he began to work on his recording career that already has 3 albums. Pete is a tireless creator, always looking for new forms of expression through his instruments and collaborations with colleagues and important artists. He has been nominated by LatinGRAMMY in 2018 in the "Best Salsa Album" category for his album La Esquina del Bailador, he has also worked on more than 10 nominated and winning productions of LatinGRAMMY & GRAMMY with artists such as Gilberto Santa Rosa, Nathy Peluso and Yandel. As a Paiste artist, Pete incorporates the sound and quality of the brand in each performance, bringing his unique style to stages and recording studios around the world. His commitment to excellence and his dedication to music make him an inspiration for the new generations of percussionists.
