Biography
Misael Blanco was born in Ciudad Juarez Chih., Mexico. While he constantly played with his mother’s pots and pans, it became clear at a young age that natural talent and ability were qualities he possessed. At age 11 Misael began to find his true passion for the drums. At 17 he started touring different cities in Mexico with a Christian band called ‘Hombre a Hombre.’ What started out as touring nearby cities became a long term touring commitment which took the band all throughout Mexico. At the age of 20, Misael moved to El Paso Texas, where he attended the University of Texas at El Paso Texas and studied classical percussion. In 1998, at the age of 20, he began playing and touring Jesús Adrián Romero, an artist with whom he travels with to this day. Jesús Adrián Romero is an internationally known Grammy Award Winner and nominee, singer-song writer. He is also one of the most prominent Christian Latin singers in all of Latin America. In 1998, Misael’s began to tour international territories. To date, he has played in countries spanning from Central and South America, Europe, Canada, the Caribbean, to the USA. The majority of these tours include sold out concerts in internationally known venues. Misael has also conducted clinics while on tour. With over 30 recordings to his name, including numerous studio recordings with Jesús Adrián Romero, he also has tracked with other artists such as Marcela Gandara, Abel Zavala and Lily Goodman, among others. Many of those recordings have garnered critical acclaim, awards, and reached top radio chart positions.
