Biography

Drummer/Percussionist Max Senitt is a highly regarded and in-demand musician on the Toronto and international scene. He maintains a busy freelance career, has performed around the globe with acclaimed Grammy and Juno award winning artists such as: Josh Groban, Alex Cuba, Hilario Duran, Lila Ike, and Carol Welsman, and is a proud member of several local Global Music groups including, Moneka Arabic Jazz, WAPAMA, Avatar, and The Canadian Arabic Orchestra. As an educator Max teaches privately, has been a faculty member at Centennial College since 2014, and has conducted drum clinics/master-classes both locally and abroad. He has written numerous educational articles for both Canadian Musician and Drums Etc Magazines, the latter of which, Max was featured on the cover of the January 2015 issue.

    Sound character: A fusion of darkness, energy, projection and brilliance. Very wide range, complex, musical mix. Responsive feel, extremely controllable. Woody, silvery, spanky ping over crunchy, thriving wash. Extremely versatile, flexible ride for wide ranging application in modern blended music styles. Mark I: Tends to be a bit quieter, darker and drier. This manifests itself in the overall sound character and in particular in the bell and ping sound.

This crash combines silky, soft qualities with energy and projection for an incredibly versatile application range. Also extremely well suited as suspended cymbals and for mallet rolls.

Full dark, rich, shimmering, biting open/closed sound. Beautiful, fat, meaty, crisp, cutting chick sound. Fast, responsive, articulate with excellent feel and playability. An immensely versatile hi-hat that combines finesse and articulation with raw energy and cutting power.
