„The amazing sound of the 22” Sound Creation Dark Ride played by Jack DeJohnette, Paul Motian, and Al Foster is seared on my brain. The cushion of Billy Higgins’ Paiste 602’s and Roy Haynes’ 602 Flat taught me what musical support was. Bonham’s Giant Beats and Charlie Watts’ 602 hi hats defined rock music for me. When I read the liner notes to my favorite records, I learned that Steve Jordan, Carlos Vega, Jeff Porcaro, Russ Kunkel, and Jim Keltner were playing Paiste’s on all of my favorite records. Whether it’s rock, jazz, or anything in between, it’s Paiste.“
