Biography
Drummer, percussionist, core curriculum author, clinician, composer and educator; Performs concerts and conducts clinics, master classes, and workshops at universities, schools, and retail venues across the country; Has shared both stage and studio with a diverse list of artists worldwide, including artists such as Barry White, El Chicano, Klymaxx, Rita Coolidge, Nel Carter, Angela Bofill, Emmanuel, Johnny Paycheck, Maia Sharp, Jay Dee Maness and Tim Weisberg among others; Performed in some of the most prestigious venues, theatres, and festivals such as Radio City Music Hall, Blue Note (New York & Japan), Kodak Theater (Los Angeles), New Orleans Super Dome, Blues Alley (Washington D.C.), New Orleans Jazz Festival, Universal Amphitheatre (Los Angeles), Rainforest World Music Festival (Borneo), Viña del Mar International Song Festival (Chile). Controllable, peppery stick sound over a dark layered oriental, smoky wash. A ride cymbal that can easily be used in a small jazz club setting and flourish in other styles such as blues or country music.
