Biography

Drummer / Educator / Author Mana Ginart is dedicated to blending artistic exploration with educational excellence, helping students develop a deep understanding of music while pushing the boundaries of drumming and performance. In 2024, he published the book DATA: Stickings + Rudiments + Irregular Meters. This conceptual work explores traditional drumming language in modern contexts, inviting drummers to develop their own ideas. The book also features contributions from renowned musicians and quotes from top peers. Mana Ginart is one of the most sought-after musicians and educators in Argentina. With over 20 years of experience, he teaches masterclasses, online courses, and private lessons from his studio in Buenos Aires. His students include drummers from the United States, Spain, Poland, Mexico, Colombia, Australia, Ecuador, Brazil, Chile, and, of course, all of Argentina As an educator, he is also the co-founder of Música Argentina Hoy, a masterclass project with Ariel Sanchez that promotes Argentine tango and folklore, offering modern interpretations and innovative approaches to these traditional genres. As a musician, his signature style is characterized by his sound, language, and ability to approach genres that emphasize artistic exploration, musician interaction, irregular time signatures, and textures. He is currently the drummer of En Desorbita, one of the most notable projects in the Argentine tango scene, led by pianist and composer Emiliano Greco, with Lautaro Greco on bandoneon and Sebastián Tozzola on electric bass. Throughout his career, Mana Ginart has collaborated with and led projects alongside renowned musicians from Argentina’s fusion jazz scene and has recorded for the mainstream music industry, including productions for Sony Music and PopArt Music.
