Biography
My name is Jose Lopera I'm a drummer and music producer, I've been working in the industry since 1993 and believe passion it's the biggest tool to make dreams to come true. I follow and study new trends, And I believe the 20-th century popular music as a reference creates a wonderful environment for a great song. I believe we need to create a song that looks great “naked” to then dress it up like a princess. My specialty is Latin Music, (Musica en Español) and I was a live drummer for Ekhymosis in Colombia for 6 years, Juanes for 4 years and did tours throughout the USA, Europe and Latin America, alongside with shows and touring with, Amaury Gutierrez, Pala, Entre3, Pasabordo, Reykon, and many more. I have been a session drummer for the major labels and many independent artists in genres such as Latin Rock, Spanish Rock, Latin Pop, Urban Pop, Reggaeton, Vallenato, Tropipop and many more. I am the winner of a Latin Grammy for Best Recording for the song "Es por ti" by the artist Juanes. in 2004 and 2 platinum records in Colombia for the sales of two of the productions of the band "Sanalejo". I was the producer of bands and artists among which Sanalejo, Pasabordo, Nepentes, Jorge Uribe, Entre3, Dados, Sebastian Gomez, Noir Soul, Camilo Martinez, Ley de Ventaja and Vaiven stand out. I have composed and wrote multiple songs for many different genres currently I am also the drummer, composer and producer of my band LA ESTELAR and a proud Paiste Cymbals Artist since 2002. I work from my studio "Estudio L" located in Medellin, Colombia; always at your service. Hope to hear from you and honoured to help you make your dream a reality.
