Biography

Music has always been an integral part of Jorge Bezerra's life. Born in April 1978 in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. Son of a mother priestess of candomblé (Afro-Brazilian religion) and a father Alabê (master of sacred drums from Africa). Jorge began to practice percussion since his childhood and soon he was noticed by his poetic way of mixing sounds. In his career, Jorge shared the stage with artists such as: Joe Zawinul, Carlos Santana, St Germain, Naseer Shamma, Paco Sery Groupe, Cheyck Tidiane Seck, Lorenzo Jovanotti, Tigàna Santana, Laurent Voulzy, Sixun, Gospel 100 voices Jorge won the GRAMMY AWARDS MUSIC from best album Jazz in 2009. Jorge continues his musical journey always active and in ascension.
