Music has always been an integral part of Jorge Bezerra's life. Born in April 1978 in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. Son of a mother priestess of candomblé (Afro-Brazilian religion) and a father Alabê (master of sacred drums from Africa). Jorge began to practice percussion since his childhood and soon he was noticed by his poetic way of mixing sounds. In his career, Jorge shared the stage with artists such as: Joe Zawinul , Carlos Santana, St Germain, Naseer Shamma, Paco Sery Groupe, Cheyck Tidiane Seck, Lorenzo Jovanotti, Tigàna Santana, Laurent Voulzy, Sixun, Gospel 100 voices, Jorge won the GRAMMY AWARDS MUSIC from best album Jazz in 2009. Jorge continues his musical journey always active and in ascension.

Sound character: Warm, airy, snarling, silvery. Fairly wide range, complex mix. Soft feel with a very responsive, explosive splash sound. Low tuned effect cymbal for lively accents in moderate volume. Well suited for hand-playing. Vinnie Colaiuta explains: “They are sweet, they are these kind of punctuation marks in the background.”

Sound character: Dark, warm, smoky. Medium wide range, complex mix. Buttery, soft feel with quick response. Rich, dark, mystical crash sound with tender clarity. Extremely lively cymbal for broad accents and crashes in intimate to semi-loud settings. Well suited for delicate ride patterns or mallet swells. «For those guys who really appreciate just having a cymbal that can do everything, the larger Dark Crashes can do anything.
