Biography
Jordi Geuens was born in 1985 in Antwerp, Belgium and has been touched by the magic of making music -- in particular playing the drums -- for as long as he can remember. He studied at CODARTS in Rotterdam with the likes of Juan van Emmerloot, Hans Eijkenaar and Joost van Schaik. Jordi has been a very active session player since graduating, playing all kinds of music, both in studio and live on stage. He performed with many different artists like Postmen, Paul Michiels, Kate Ryan, Chaka khan, Natalia, Jef Neve, Soulsister, RZLZ, etc. Since 2010 he started touring internationally with Belgian phenomenon Selah Sue. Besides his session work, Jordi started working together with Carlo de Wijs resulting in the “New Hammond Sound Project”, where he not only acts as the drummer but also finding his way as a producer. As a teacher, Jordi gives masterclasses, clicics and private lessons at Antwerp based drumschool: DRUMKOT
