John Luke Hebert is an American rock drummer, best known for recording and touring with Chastain, King Diamond, Arms Of The Sun, and The Rex Brown Band. His is recognized among musicians and producers alike as being, a “songwriter’s drummer”. John has recorded with many world-renowned engineers and producers, including, Phil Ehart, Terry Date, Steve Fontana, Sterling Winfield, Russ Fowler, and on Sir George Martin’s Grandmaster Series. John Hebert is also a prominent session drummer and percussionist for film, television, and advertising, garnishing over 250 placements published by Sony/Extreme Music. From Ford commercials to feature films, John’s drumming resonates around the world.
Sound character: Fairly dark, full, controlled, glassy, shimmering. Fairly wide range, clean mix. Very comfortable feel with a clear, full ping over a large, deep harmonic wash. This ride cymbal is extremely well suited for intricate stick work that calls for a strong bell in all types of Rock based music. Developed in co-operation with the legendary "Iron Maiden" drummer Nicko McBrain.
