JM Ferreiras

JM Ferreiras was born in The Dominican Republic in a Christian home, because ofthat he was always surrounded by music which led him to start playing drums at the ageof 6. Six years later he became his church drummer and by that time music waseverything he could think about, so he started exploring other instruments like piano andguitar and other areas of music. That’s when he discovered his other passion, musicproduction, so he started making beats and writing songs in FL Studio. Years passed and his desire to be a better musician grew bigger, that’s when hedecided to audition for the National Conservatory of Music of Santo Domingo whereFerreiras was formally trained in jazz and popular music. Five years later Ferreiras wasawarded a scholarship to attend Berklee College of Music where he obtained hisdegree in music production and engineering with a minor in commercial recordproduction. Also, Ferreiras is a 3x Latin Grammy scholarship winner, a competition heldevery year where musicians from America and Europe compete for a chance to winscholarships to attend whatever music school they want in the US. Ferreiras is now based out of Los Angeles, CA and has played and/or toured with manyrenowned artists such as Gustavo Rodriguez, an acclaimed Dominican jazz pianist,Jesus Molina, a virtuoso pianist from Colombia, and LATIN GRAMMY WINNING ArtistNoel Schajris, Known from his former band “Sin Bandera” which was one of the mostfamous Latin Pop bands in the 2000s.
