Biography
Jan-Kris was born near Antwerp – Belgium (1978) and grew up with a passion for sports and music. Blown away by Phil Collins and Chester Thompson in the Serious Hits live tour at the age of 12, Jan-Kris decided he wanted to become a drummer. Determined, he bought his first car at the age of 18, successfully auditioned at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp, and committed himself fully to his music, practicing drums, listening music day and night and travelling the country to rehearse and perform. More than 30 years later, Jan-Kris is still travelling in Belgium and abroad, playing drums or mixing bands. He also teaches at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp. Always accompanied by his Gretsch drums and Paiste cymbals.
