Biography

James Forsberg was born and raised in beautiful British Columbia, Canada. Completely self-taught at just the age of 12-years old, James’ love for drums started In 2006, he moved to Southern California to pursue his musical career. He has played all throughout The United states and locally in Orange County, Los Angeles County, and on the famous Hollywood Sunset Strip. His band the RapScallions has opened for acts, such as the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Warrant, The Scorpions, and Chad Smith’s Bombastic Meat Bats.

    Sound character: Full, silky, powerful, deep. Fairly wide range, fairly complex mix. Responsive, soft feel with powerful attributes. Somewhat papery stick sound with a glassy undertone over fairly dark and cloudy wash. Very versatile ride cymbal with good crash-ability for classic rock music applications. Developed in co-operation with the legendary "Van Halen" drummer Alex Van Halen.
