Biography

Yang Hyeseung is a drummer of the Korean rock band 'PIA'. He originally pursued his dream as a painter, but his love and passion for music led him to apply to the music academy of Seoul as a drum major. He became the 3rd drumer of PIA, which is originated from the Busan province of South Korea. As of 2015, Yang Hyeseung actively participates in many festivals and musical events and is considered as one of the most talented drummers of South Korea. Furthermore, he took part in a band which is led by one of the most influential artists in South Korea, Seotaiji. This was an exceptional event in that Yang Hyeseung was the first Korean drummer to perform in that band. Also, he received recognition in Japan, Taiwan, and China for participating in many festivals abroad, such as performing the opening ceremony for Limp Bizkit, the famous American nu metal/rap band, when they held a concert in Korea. Additionally, Yang participated in the Asia tour of another well-known American rock band, Linkin Park. Since childhood, Yang has been influenced by 311 and No Doubt, who were the leading artists of hybrid and Mixture genre of rock music.
