Biography
Open to all influences, Guillaume moves freely between rock and african music. As a drummer, percussionist, and composer, he is a musician with experience on international stages and in studios (Rozedale, Aziz Sahmaoui & University of Gnawa, Grand Media Blackout, Lansiné Diabaté, Jidé Hoareau, Faïka, Chimenea...). Guillaume is also an accomplished educator! He teaches at the MUSIC ACADEMY INTERNATIONAL in Nancy (France), leads masterclasses, and has published various methods: "Afropulsation" "Entre Tradition & Systemes, rythmes d’Afrique de l’Ouest adaptés à la batterie" and "Triplet Control for the Snare Drum". In 2023, he founded the "Hacang Percussions" company.

Sound character: A fusion of darkness, energy, projection and brilliance. Very wide range, complex, musical mix. Responsive feel, extremely controllable. Woody, silvery, spanky ping over crunchy, thriving wash. Extremely versatile, flexible ride for wide ranging application in modern blended music styles. Mark II: Tends to be a bit livelier and brighter. This manifests itself in the overall sound character and in particular in the bell and ping sound. Mark II also has a bit more volume potential due to its more open character.
