Biography
I'm Giorgi, musician and drummer. I was born in Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia and I dedicate my life to music. I’ve been playing Paiste Formula 602’s and 2002’s for several years for all my live shows, corporate events or in the studio. My musical journey began when I was 6 years old playing the violin and piano. My main influence at the time was Georgian Folklore music. When I turned 16, I started drumming. With 18 years of age I began playing with professional musicians. During the upcoming 5 years I majored in Jazz at Music University. After I graduated college, I kept gathering playing experience in approximately 45 band projects. In 2015 I was part of the Big Drum Bonanza Festival which was organized by Thomas Lang with over 250 drummers from around the world. Participating judges included Thomas Lang, Gergo Borlai, Matt Garstka, Stanton Moore, Jeff Hamilton, George Kolias, Chris Coleman, Virgil Donati, Chad Wackerman, Derek Roddy, Aquiles Priester, Rich Redmond, Gregg Bissonette. In 2017 I was invited to a drum camp with the world's renowned drum masterclass educators such as Stanton Moore, Keith Carlock, George Kolias and two drummers from Greece. I got the chance to jam on a Funk duet together with Stanton Moore. Today, I am a proud Paiste Artist and many interesting things are waiting for me in the future. Music brings me to life and gives me the energy and strength to never give up! Thank you.
