Biography
Florian Tiefenbacher was born and raised in Carinthia, Austria, and studied drums in Klagenfurt and Vienna. With his tasteful and expressive playing across a wide range of genres, he has become one of Austria’s top drummers. Since 2018, Florian has been the drummer for acclaimed British artist SOHN, and in 2024 he joined singer-songwriter OSKA as part of her live band. Notable highlights include performances with the Grammy-winning Metropole Orkest alongside SOHN and opening for Coldplay with OSKA. He also plays with a variety of other artists across the scene, both live and in the studio. In addition to his touring work, Florian focuses heavily on drum recording and is an in-demand session musician, known for his musical sensitivity and studio precision. He is also active as a composer and producer, creating music in his Vienna-based studio, where he merges organic instrumentation with electronic textures to craft his own distinctive sound.
