Eric has been active on the New York City music scene for over 20 years. He is currently touring and recording with vocalist Linda Eder. He is a member of jazz trombonist John Fedchock’s New York Sextet as well as the Gabrielle Stravelli Group. Eric also works regularly with veteran vocalist Marilyn Maye. He has performed with jazz artists Dave Liebman, Bob Sheppard, Dave Stryker, Donny McCaslin, Steve Slagle, Vic Juris, Scott Robinson, Adam Rogers, Joe Locke, Bruce Barth, Beegie Adair, vocalist Kenny Washington, Fred Hersch, Mark Murphy, James Moody and Bill Henderson; Broadway stars Andrew Rannells, Sherie Rene Scott and Christine Ebersole; songwriter and pianist Marvin Hamlisch; soul singer Ben E. King; and legendary blues artist Pinetop Perkins. He has also toured internationally with vocalist Ute Lemper. Eric has performed for the Kennedy Center Honors (2008, 2010) and at numerous festivals including the Monterey Jazz Festival, Montreal Jazz Festival, Norwich Music Festival (UK), Silda Jazz (Norway), Radio Classica (Chile), Cork Jazz Festival (Ireland), Festival de Jazz (Colombia), Kaunas Jazz Festival (Lithuania), and the Iowa City Jazz Festival. He was the drummer for the 2015 Broadway revival of Gigi. He has also played in the Broadway orchestras of Book of Mormon, Moulin Rouge, Mean Girls, Come From Away, Waitress, Beautiful, Wicked, Pippin, On the Town, West Side Story, Sister Act, How to Succeed in Business, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Mary Poppins, Cinderella, Shrek, Xanadu, and the L.A. production of Follies.

Sound character: A fusion of darkness, energy, projection and brilliance. Very wide range, complex, musical mix. Responsive feel, extremely controllable. Woody, silvery, spanky ping over crunchy, thriving wash. Extremely versatile, flexible ride for wide ranging application in modern blended music styles. Mark I: Tends to be a bit quieter, darker and drier. This manifests itself in the overall sound character and in particular in the bell and ping sound.
Sound character: Dark, dry, woody. Fairly wide range, complex mix. Soft, responsive feel. Full, warm, open sound. Loose, soggy chick sound. Perfectly suited for traditional swing patterns, but also well usable for other acoustic styles like Blues, Country, Soul or Gospel.
