Biography
Edo Tancredi is a multi stylistic drummer, composer and music producer originally from Ascoli Piceno (Italy) based in Los Angeles (CA,USA). His passion for different kinds of music has led him to cover a wide variety of genres that include Rock, Funk, R&B/Soul,Blues,Gospel,Jazz,Americana/Country and Latin. He started studying drums at an early age (10yrs old) with Massimo Carloni in his hometown and later with Marco Volpe in Milan. Through his studies Edo earned a Bachelor’s degree in Jazz Music at the Conservatory of Music G.B. Pergolesi in Fermo (Italy) and later on, after winning a scholarship, he moved to Los Angeles and earned an Associate’s degree in Music Performance at the Los Angeles College of Music in Pasadena (CA) studying with drum legend Ralph Humphrey and in-demand studio-session drummer Gary Ferguson. Edo’s drumming and productions can be heard on numerous recordings and commercials and he keeps a busy live schedule on an international level. Earlier this year was on a US Tour with Aidan Bissett (Tik Tok star) and he’s currently working with the young pop star Amelia Moore, both artists signed under Capitol Records. Edo just played at Jimmy Kimmel Live and appeared on a live performance on Youtube Vevo Dscvr with Amelia Moore. He works as a “studio musician” with great producers by the likes of Marty Rifkin (Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, Elton John), Saverio Principini (Vasco Rossi, Eros Ramazzotti, Tiziano Ferro), Fabrizio Grossi (Laura Pausini, Steve Vai, Billy Gibbons) and with TV composers like Patrick Rose/Snuffy Walden for CBS TV show Seal Team. Edo is also composing and producing music for music libraries such as Gramoscope Music, 411 Music Group and MusicMind Tracks and his tracks can be heard on TV shows for FOX, Nat Geo, Telemundo and A&E. Edo’s performance credits between live and studio work include Avril Lavigne, Jason Mraz, Michelle Williams (Destiny’s Child), Eric Benet, Ann Nesby (Sounds of Blackness) and with the band Magnetico (led by guitarist Rafael Moreira) he has opened many shows for the historic band KISS.
