Biography
Dieter Steinmann studied classical percussion and timpani at Frankfurt University, where he received his diploma in orchestral music. Besides he studied drumset with different teachers in the US like Gary Chaffee and Alan Dawson. Since then he's working as a freelance drummer, classical percussionist and educator. As recording and touring musician he has worked with Klaus Lage, Wolf Maahn, T.M. Stevens, Sjx Was Nine, Jam & Spoon, Pe Werner, Bobby Kimball, Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra, Frankfurt Pops Orchestra and many more. In 2008 Dieter Steinmann produced his first solo album "Spiritual Journey" where he introduces himself as marimba player, composer of world music and producer.
