Biography

Also known as Panza, he was born in Lanus in 1969. Since he was a child, he always had a fondness and interest in music and rhythm. In his neighborhood he listened and danced a lot in the street and spontaneous parties. In 1987, when he finished secondary school, he joined Adrian Dargelos and began a musical career in a totally intuitive and self-taught way. After a couple of formations with different members, Babasonicos was formed in 1991. Already with an innovative approach to the music scene of that time, Babasonicos recorded his first CD "Pasto" opening the doors to a wide audience in Latin America, growing towards North America and Europe to this day. In all these years the band toured across the continents, also obtaining 1 Grammy award for "Best Alternative Music Album" in 2014 as well as 2 Carlos Gardel awards and 2 MTV awards. Throughout his career Diego was always focused on developing innovative rhythms and cadences within the band's eclectic music. He has also collaborated with other artists such as Daniel Melero, Autenticos Decadentes and Carca among others.
