Biography
Having recorded and performed with a wide variety of artists including Enrique Iglesias, Ace Frehley, Lauren Hill, Scott Stapp, Paulina Rubio, and Mika, you could say Derek Cintron's resume' is figuratively "all over the place". He's literally been "all over the place" as well, having performed on virtually every continent except Antarctica. His drumming can be heard on countless indie and major label recordings, including five certified-platinum albums. As a singing drummer/multi-instrumentalist and composer, Derek continues to create new, original music with his band Brothers Of Others. They've played all over the U.S. and even internationally on occasion. Derek also routinely provides scores and/or themes for advertising projects, including work for Nike, GQ, and ESPN. In his previous band DC-3, he fronted the band as a lead singer and drummer, with a twist: He stood up while singing and playing! Derek plans to incorporate that method into his current band, but that means the other two guys will also have to learn how to play standing up - because they all routinely switch instruments!
