Biography

Chad is foremost a long-time member of the hugely popular, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inducted band Red Hot Chili Peppers. Nonetheless, further successful formations include the hard rock supergroup Chickenfoot, and the all-instrumental Bombastic Meatbeats. Moreover, Chad is a sought-after session musician, who recorded with numerous top artists such as Ozzy Osbourne, Miley Cyrus, the Dixie Chicks, Elton John, Dua Lipa, Post Malone, Wu-Tang Clan, Eddie Vedder and Iggy Pop. Chad appears on virtually every “Best Drummers of All Time” list, and is well respected by his peers in the drumming community, who frequently cite his mastery of syncopation, the use of ghost notes, a fast right foot, and strong playing style to create an inimitable feel and funky grooves in rock settings. Of further note, Chad engages in extensive charity work as an active supporter of several non-profit organizations, with particular emphasis on supporting young musicians and music education.
