Biography
Carsten gained his first musical experience at a very early age when he surprisingly played in his school band and from the first moment it was clear that it promised to be a very exciting journey. His first band "Wotan`s Voice" played German-language punk rock and was a great challenge for a 12-year-old. This was followed by the bands Hard Like Oak, Kirov`s Boggie Stuff, Body & Soul, Shit Hits The Fan & Das Leben. Through these bands Carsten met the bassists Peter Stimmel and Harry Schnitzler (Union Studios Munich) as well as the producer Kristian Schultze, who from then on took care of promoting Carsten`s talent to let him play with the greats of this world. Also his short-time teacher Gilby Karno could now do everything to teach Carsten versatility and style. In the then countless studios of Munich he went through an incredibly fast development while playing on many productions. With the producers Abi Linn and Norbert Kreuzer he ended up with the international pop act "En-Sonic". The strong TV presence and live performance brought Carsten to international stages for the first time. Tours & shows with Billy Preston, Karl Keaton, Dynamite Light, Bad News, Black Attack, and many more followed. Carsten played in the studio at this time for international acts like Juliane Werding, Greg Wood, Robin Beck, Worthy Davis, Devin Ashlee, Chill Out feat. L-Zone, S-Club 7, Faithless, Rob Reynolds, John Sutterland, Edison Arthur, N-Sync, Abi von Reinighaus and many more. 2004 a 2-year tour with the band "Vanilla Ninja" which let him again sniff the air of international stages, chart successes and TV shows. More international tours & shows followed with Q-Ten Peck, Munich Bluesgang, Mayors Destiny, Universal Gospel Flavor, Ron Evans Group, Rock & Rollinger, Chitral Somapala, Endfield and many more. During these years he was on many productions such as Q-Ten Peck, Mickey Monroe, Lima, Steve Bourbon Project, Aaron Bingle, Jantey, Oliver Blume, Bianca Zthoi Marcia, Milbert van Hoven, Rauschhardt, Soulmover, Tom Jackson, Da*Unexpected, Over Twenty, Bryan Anthony, Renè Swift, Rock & Rollinger, Marie Chain, Chitral Somapala, Turbo Lerone, Sternblut, Stereotide, Jo Marten, Andy Zingsem, Crave & Wonder, Andy Susemihl, Marty and the Bad Punch, Birkett Hall, Endfield and many more. Playing live with Lionel Richie was surely, next to Billy Preston, the biggest highlight of his career so far. In the studio his activities as a music producer for national and international productions increased more and more. Carsten`s grooves can be heard in many commercials and TV spots (Media Markt, Mini Cooper, Audi, Filemaker, SWM and many more). Current bands and releases: Endfield, Mick White, Marty and the Bad Punch, Andy Susemihl, Andy Zingsem, Birkett Hall, My Name is Bob, Marc O`Heartman and many more.
