Biography

Andy Shoniker is an active musician in NYC’s live and studio scene.  Originally from Toronto, he has been making his mark as both as a player as well as a music educator. He is the creator of SYNKD, a highly regarded music education app.  He has been published in Modern Drummer on numerous occasions and is the author of “Elements of Drumming” which is being released by Hudson Music

    Sound character: A fusion of darkness, energy, projection and brilliance. Very wide range, complex, musical mix. Responsive feel, extremely controllable. Mark I: Tends to be a bit quieter, darker and drier. This manifests itself in the overall sound character and in particular in the bell and ping sound.
