About
Biography
Aaron grew up in rural Ohio, surrounded by a musical family. His dad had a great collection of vinyl records, including Led Zeppelin II. After hearing John Bonham's incredible, thunderous drum sound, Aaron knew he wanted to play the drums. His formative education came from getting to play in church, participating in high school choir, marching, concert and jazz bands, and playing in multiple local bands. All the while, he was also passionate about audio and recording. Naturally, his interests lead him to Nashville, TN, where he attended Belmont University. Torn between audio and commercial percussion, he ended up graduating with a bachelors of science in audio engineering. It was at Belmont that Aaron hit it off with country singer/songwriter, Ian Munsick. In 2020, Ian signed a record deal with Warner Music Nashville, and he invited Aaron to be his drummer and musical director. Ever since, they’ve played all over the US and opened for artists such as Dwight Yoakam, Trace Atkins, Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan, Cody Johnson, Morgan Wallen, and more. They’ve performed in front of crowds upwards of 20,000. Find them on tour in a city near you. When Aaron’s home, he enjoys mowing the yard, bowling, and spending time with his wife, cat, and church family, in addition to working around Nashville. To close with a fun fact, Aaron makes pretty decent chili. “Add chorizo”, he says.
