Biography
Wesley Toledo began playing drums at the age of 5 years old. His father, also a drummer, mentored him throughout his childhood and into his teen years. Growing up he gained experience playing drums in church and at the age of 14 he joined his first band. He went on to play numerous shows in his hometown of Nashville, TN. Upon graduating from DePaul University in Chicago, he met the original members of Chicago's Post Animal and began playing shows as a fill in drummer. Shortly thereafter, he became a full time member playing numerous shows and recording a debut full length album. Following their first headlining tour in mid-2017, Post Animal signed with Polyvinyl Records. Post Animal has put out two full length records, 2018’s When I Think Of You in a Castle and 2020’s Forward Motion Godyssey. They also released an EP in 2020 called Worried About You. They have done extensive touring within the US and Europe, playing major American festivals such as Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, and Shaky Knees. They have also supported larger acts such as Cage The Elephant, Twin Peaks, and Wavves.
