VINCE LITTLETON has been drumming since 1971. He has been the drummer for the successful tribute band Super Diamond since 2001. Originally from Spokane WA, Vince received a B.A. in Music Education at E.W.U. He moved to San Francisco,CA in 1991 and has performed and/or recorded with artists as diverse as Dr.John, Merl Saunders, J.G.B , Michael Manring, Darol Anger, Rick Danko, Johnnie Johnson,The Mermen, Tim Hockenberry, Tom Scott, Kix Brooks, Livingston Taylor, Trey Anastasio, John Lee Hooker,John Popper & Bonnie Raitt. Vince’s original compositions recording, Hall of Sound, has been featured on United Airlines in-flight entertainment. Sound character: Medium bright, full, warm, brilliant. Wide range, fairly complex mix. Fast, responsive feel. Full, bright, energetic open sound. Sharp, full chick sound. The original, once patented, wavy bottom hi-hat design. The 17" version adds extraordinary boost, low end and crisp projection.
Sound character: Full, bright, metallic, strong. Narrow range, clean mix. Fairly heavy, very immediate feel. Dry, clear, strong, slightly distorted ping over sparse, warm, metallic bell sound. A loud, lively, unusual cymbal with very specific ride and bell playing functions. Also suited for strong color accents and various percussion effects.
