Growing up in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, Tripp was raised on Friday night lights and country music. From a young age, Tripp was a great ball of energy, never one to slow down for a second. It was this type of energy that attracted him to the hustle and bustle of the touring life where he found his niché with a group of like-minded individuals known as LANCO. After years of touring with this outfit, Tripp was brought to the conclusion that he needed a cymbal style that would fit into his sound as well as his performance. Tripp found exactly that in the Paiste family and is a proud endorser.
