Originally from New Rochelle N.Y, I started playing the drums at age 10. A few years later, started lessons along with getting my first Paiste cymbal, a used 19 inch 602 ride, not knowing at the time that it would be a first in my quest to collect as many Paiste cymbals as I can, which has become an obsession to this very day. I graduated Berklee College of Music with a dual BA in Performance and Music Education. I began teaching K-8 music full time in 1995 in the city of Revere MA. I have always made sure to keep my classroom filled with instruments of the percussion family, which includes 5 drumkits complete with an assortment of Paiste cymbals as well as a prized 32 inch Symphonic gong. Throughout my years of teaching, I am happy to have given the children the opportunity to experience world class cymbals, inspiring many of them to purchase Paiste’s of their very own. Aside from teaching music in the classroom, I also direct a synth/percussion ensemble called the Rumney Marsh Academy Percussion ensemble, made up of middle school students. Together, the students perform a wide variety of music ranging from rock, classical, folk and world music. Over the years, the children have performed at events around the city and out of state. When not in the classroom, I freelance in the Boston area with various local bands. I have played Paiste exclusively for 40 years. They are unmatched in their variety, sound precision, strength, innovation and character. The 2002’s for me especially, cut through the music with an explosion of shimmering, crystal brilliance!
