„“I’ve known about Paiste cymbals since before I started drumming, I watched my drumming idols play them growing up. I tried many other cymbals but nothing compares to the brilliant tone and dynamic range of the Paiste cymbals.”“

Biography

An Icelandic drummer born in 1990 into a very musical family, Stefán Ari played piano and guitar at a young age before being captivated by the drums at age 13, since then he's made it into a full time career. Having started out in a punk band, evolving into a few bands ranging from technical death metal into black metal before joining the Icelandic rock trio The Vintage Caravan. Stefán took private lessons from Kristján B. Heiðarsson, a fellow Paiste endorser at a young age learning the basic rudiments and techniques, then later got into Iceland's finest music school, F.Í.H. where he studied Jazz theory and drumming. In his second year he had an opportunity to join an already successful internationally touring band, which he did and has been with The Vintage Caravan since early 2015. Having toured around the world and played countless festivals Stefán has finally reached a major goal in his life and signed with his favourite cymbal brand, Paiste.
