Spiros "SK" Koudounis

Spiros Koudounis was born in Rhodes, one of the most beautiful islands in Greece and is coming from a musician family. His father was a singer and Drummer and he is one of the main reasons who made Spiros what he is today, since even from the first years of his birth and childhood his father used to sing to him and bring him together to all of his live performances. He was his master and teacher. From 6 years old he played drums at Philharmonic school of Rhodes, studied piano, accordion and clarinet. He has joined a lot of school bands with different kinds of music such as funky, pop, rock, soul, r’n’b, metal & jazz. At the age of 16 of 17 years old, was honored with the first national music reward in composition and individual music instrument. After he finished high school, he moved to Athens to study Drums and piano at MMS. He has attended seminars: Dave Weckl, Dennis Chambers, Tony Royster jr, Jojo Mayer, Simon Phillips, Dom Famularo, Gavin Harrison, Mike Mangini etc. He has cooperated with many artists in lives & studios and TV shows such as Sakis Rouvas, Anna Vissi, Antonis Remos, Elena Paparizou etc. He has also participated in many music shows and he has the drummer in the “Voice of Greece” show the last 4 years. Lastly, he performs in almost 200 concerts yearly. He is the Drummer of the Greek popular music band “MELISSES” and he is a teacher of one of the most popular schools of Athens . “DRUMMANIA” His cause is to attract new musicians to this magical traveling though music and make the new generation fall in love with it.
