Biography
Sebastian Thomson is a drummer, songwriter, and producer based in NYC but originally from Argentina. He was first known as the drummer in Trans Am, a Washington DC band which helped create the post rock genre in the late 90s. After releasing 11 studio albums with Trans Am, in 2013 Thomson joined Baroness after the departure of their original drummer. Baroness and Thomson have recorded and released two albums together and have toured extensively. Baroness was also nominated for a Grammy in 2016 for Best Metal Performance. Thomson maintains a solo project called Publicist which is a house/techno act in which he plays drum kit live along with sequenced synths. Thomson's US national television debut took place May 20–23, 2019, when he served as the guest drummer for The 8G Band on Late Night with Seth Meyers.
