Biography
Session drummer / educator Rob ‘Beatdown’ Brown has been playing the drums since the age of 17. After leaving a full time retail job to pursue a career in music back in 2012, Rob had quickly circulated through the local scene in his home city of Toronto performing and recording with a wide variety of artists in the R&B, jazz, contemporary Christian and pop country scenes. Rob transitioned to full time YouTube content creator in 2017 and over the following three years his educational drum channel has rapidly become one of the most recognized and popular channels on the platform with a subscriber count approaching 200,000 (to date) and total channel views passing over 17,000,000. His online presence has eventually caught the attention of the world’s largest drum education stage, Drumeo, which Rob was featured on in November 2020.
