Biography

‘Why not; drums are a laugh!’ were the words a 14-year old Ollie Sears said about starting drum lessons at his school in East London/Essex. With his Mum teaching him the bit of piano she studied at school, and teaching himself guitar, the drums were an opportunity to try something new (as well as skive off school with his best mate for a few hours a week). Fast forward 5 years and Ollie was earning a living playing in pubs and function bands whilst studying at Guildford’s ACM. That, coupled with the teachings of the late, great Bob Armstrong, has lead to him continuing to ‘work’ (play) all over the world. Now based in London, he is currently the drummer/backing vocalist for two-time Grammy award-winning guitarist Albert Lee.
