Biography
Michael started taking the Drums seriously at the age of 20. After a few years of developing, he did all kind of studio jobs, live performances with a lot of prestigious bands, hosted clinics and established a drum school. In the years 2001-2003 Michael had appearances at the Frankfurt Musikmesse for Sonor, on the Paiste Booth in 2006, and did Clinics in the years 2003-2004 for both companies. Michael hit the international scene with SOUL DOCTOR 2006 in Spain, Italy, France, Sweden and England, with appearances at some of the biggest Festivals, like Sweden Rock in 2007, United Forces of Rock in 2007, Firefest in 2007" and Bang your Head in 2006. Since then, he played at the 70.000 tons of Metal Cruise with VICTORY. With RUNNING WILD, he was Headliner at the most reputable international Festivals such as Wacken Open Air (2015 and 2018), the Czech Masters Of Rock and Metal Fest, Sweden Rock in 2017, St. Petersburg and Moscow. In 2022, RUNNING WILD headlined at Metal Fest / Czech Republic, Rockharz Festival / Germany, Midalidare Festival / Bulgaria, and the mighty Hellfest / France. Besides all the bands, studio- and live jobs, Michael established his own drum school. Last, but not least, he did the recordings and performed live with bands like Donots, MyBalloon, Beatsteaks, Moon'Doc, and musicians from Heaven's Gate, Zeno, Fair Warning, etc. In recent years he also did a lot of Studio work for movie-, production-, and archive music.
