Biography
Born and raised in Milwaukee Wisconsin, Lj Thompson’s family discovered his passion for drums at the early age of 2. Graduating in 2016, Lj attended Milwaukee High School Of The Arts Where he’d study traditional jazz and jazz improvisation. During this time He became one of the founding members of local cover/wedding band Generation Z who he’d play with up until graduating High School. Les than a year from Graduation, Lj received a call from one of his favorite professional drummers to Go on tour with Hip-Hop/R&B artist Shelly FKA DRAM. Since then and currently has been involved with other International act Bobi Andonov and further establishing himself as a brand in other fields outside of drumming.

Sound character: Dark, warm, smoky. Medium wide range, complex mix. Buttery, soft feel with quick response. Rich, dark, mystical crash sound with tender clarity. Extremely lively cymbal for broad accents and crashes in intimate to semi-loud settings. Well suited for delicate ride patterns or mallet swells. «For those guys who really appreciate just having a cymbal that can do everything, the larger Dark Crashes can do anything. Sound character: Fairly dark, energetic. Medium wide range, complex mix. Explosive, shattering crash. Exotic stick sound over a complex, trashy wash. Assertive china for exotic effects. While Color Sound 900 feature essentially the same sound and function as the 900 Series, the color coating causes a slightly drier sound, shortens the sustain a bit, and results in a more focused attack.
