Biography
Josephine Forsman (born 20 May 1981 in Robertsfors) is a Swedish drummer/songwriter. She is one of the four founders of the rock band Sahara Hotnights. She started playing drums at the age of 10, and was a touring drummer at 15. She is also the drummer of the hard rock band Casablanca, and has played behind Swe-dish artists like Robyn, Orup, Per Gessle. In 2012 she hosted the music series Låtarna som förändrade musiken where she inter-viewed and played drums/guitar with performers like Clyde Stubblefield, Tommy Ramone, Michelle Phillips. Josephine now lives in California and runs a music program, LOUD Sweden, providing schools and communities in Sweden with music lessons. LOUD Sweden opened up in Stockholm January 2020. The program have members from more than 20 different countries and close to 50/50 gender equality. LOUD Swedens key values are Multiculturalism, Equality and Creative Learning. Josephine is the founder and developer of the program, and collaborates with the US LOUD Music Program.
