„There are no other cymbals out there that sound like Paiste, As a musician who likes to play different styles and genres, it's important to have the tools that can encompass the whole spectrum of dynamics. I can go from playing death metal to jazz with the same cymbals without worrying about the sound fitting the song, I already know the sound is gonna be massive, crisp and clear no matter what I play!“

Biography

Born in 1996 in Torreón, Mexico, Joey Aguirre has been playing drums since he was nine years old. By the time he was 16, he knew he wanted to pursue a career in music, so he moved to Hollywood to earn a degree in Drum Performance at the Musicians Institute. After Graduating from Musicians Institute he started gigging all around the city of Los Angeles with different Artists and Projects. In 2016, Joey recorded with the Canada-based duo Aurganic, appearing on the band’s latest full-length release, Distant Echoes and Close Encounters. In November, 2017, he started playing drums for the progressive metal band Sifting (Eclipse Records). Most recently, he made his professional debut in Quito, Ecuador when Sifting opened for Tarja Turunen during her International Shadow Shows tour. Sifting has been on tour with bands like Dayshell, Eyes Set to Kill and Sons of Apollo since Joey joined the line-up. Meanwhile, Joey takes every opportunity to record new music and play live shows whenever — and wherever he can, he has the skills of both a session musician and live musician
