Biography

"When people ask me where I'm from, I tell them: 'from all over the place." From D.C., to Nashville, to Pittsburgh, a childhood on the move would prove lend itself to comfortability with changes and improvisation. "My first concert was when I was about 4 years old, was Eric Clapton. The whole show floored me but I was most attracted to the drums." Many years and several moves later, her mom bought her a drumset, and within months she was playing in local bands around the Pittsburgh area. After high school, Jazz auditioned for Berklee College of Music and was accepted on a full-tuition scholarship. "I couldn't believe it! I accepted and hadn't even set foot in Boston, but I knew that's where I needed to be." In the four years that followed, Jazz spent studied and played music in Boston, as well as sister conservatories in Greece and Germany. After graduating, she continued to play music, but a few years later, the call of academia saw Jazz enrolling in an MBA program. “I don’t like living in a world where people think you’re only allowed to do or be one thing. I have many interests, including law and business, which led me to think bigger about what else I could do in music and entertainment. The people who seem to make the biggest impact on the world are those who can do a lot of things and wear a lot of hats.” Two degrees later, Jazz now calls Los Angeles home. “I’m a musician, producer, TBD. My only limits are the ones I place on myself.”
